Merlin as Arthur's familiar/Arthur's shapeshifter falcon AU

After the third day Merlin doesn't come back from his visit to Claws' partner, Arthur gets worried and send search parties to look for him. Merlin said he'd be back soon. He wouldn't just leave and abandon him. Something wasn't right. Something bad must have happened. The prince is now in the middle of the Woods shouting his bird's name while other knights keep searching their surroundings.

Arthur: Merlin!

Knight 1: Sire, it's getting late. Maybe we should-

Arthur: No! We're not leaving until we find him!

Knight 2: (approaches running) Sire! I think I found something.

They follow the knight and they find the corpse of a dead merlin and a torn red neckerchief in the grass beside it. There's other corpse of a bigger falcon, obviously not a merlin. The crime scene is clear to Arthur. Both birds died fighting each other.

Arthur:...

Knight 2: I'm really sorry for...uh... your loss, your highness. I know he was very dear to you.

Knight 1: Yeah, he was a.. a really good hunter and... died with dignity! Like a warrior! He was-

Arthur: That's not Merlin.

Knight 2: (surprised) But, sire, the neckerchief is there. It must be him!

Knight 1: And that’s clearly a merlin.

Arthur: Yes, that's the neckerchief and that's a merlin, but it's not MY Merlin. Because THAT merlin is a female.

Arthur can't really blame his knights for not noticing. Even merlins confused Merlin for a female most of the time. But he knew the patern of his feathers well enough. Arthur doesn't know how the neckerchief ended there, but if it is there Merlin can't be far. Soon enough, he hears a familiar chirp.

Merlin: (chirps loudly from a tree)

Arthur: Merlin! (Turns to the sound and, as soon as he lays his eyes on Merlin, he's filled with joy and relief) Thank the gods! What are you doing there? Come down!

Merlin: (shakes his head and chirps in sorrow)

Arthur: (concerned) You can't? Why? Are you hurt?

Knight 1: (whispers to other knight) he's talking to the bird?

Knight 2: Get use to it (looks more carefully the branch Merlin is in) Sire! There's something under the bird.

Knight 1: Wait! Is that a... nest?

Arthur: (in realization, looks at Merlin and then looks at the dead merlin at his feet) Brownie?

Later in Arthur's chambers. Arthur and Morgana comfort a very distraught Merlin who is in his human form holding a nest with 5 eggs as close and as carefully as he can. The three are sitting on the bed.

Merlin: (sad but with no tears left to share) I was too late. I couldn’t save her. And the eggs were alone and needed incubation so I couldn’t leave either. I'm sorry I worried you.

Morgana: (with a hand on his shoulder) We completely understand, Merlin. Don't worry.

Arthur: (with an arm wrap around Merlin) I wish I had come sooner. You shouldn't have grieved Brownie alone. (Confused) Why couldn't you just use magic to transport yourself and the eggs here if you didn't want to leave them? You've done that before.

Merlin: (looks at the nest) Eggs are so fragile, I didn't want to risk them breaking in the way. Besides... (cuts himself and blushes a little)

Arthur: What?

Merlin: (smiles at Arthur) I knew you would come for me.

Arthur: (looks at him lovinly) wait (sudden realization) you didn't leave the nest at all? How did you eat?

Merlin: ...

Arthur: (sighs) I'll bring you some food. Want something in particular?

Merlin: Larks, please 🥺

Arthur: (doubts for a second but then kisses him quickly on the cheek before leaving)

Merlin:... 😳😊☺️

Morgana: Are you going to put those little ones somewhere?

Merlin: (looks around) I think Arthur's window is a good place. Do you think he'll mind?

Morgana: I'll make sure he won’t.

Later. Arthur and Morgana at Claws' grave now also Brownie's grave.

Arthur: At least now they are together.

Morgana: Well done, Arthur. Now you left 5 merlin chicks orphan.

Arthur: (ofended) Hey! Brownie's death wasn't my fault!

Morgana: But if you hadn't killed Claws, he would've been able to protect Brownie and his eggs!

Arthur: Oh, come on! That falcon was more than twice his size. He wouldn't have had a chance.

Morgana: Well, now we'll never know. (Sighs) How did Uther react when you told him you brought a nest with 5 merlin eggs with you?

Arthur:...

Arthur: You know how much I had to fight for him to let me keep Merlin! You think he's going to let me keep 5 more?

Morgana: So what are you planning to do?

Arthur: Well, merlin eggs hatch in days time. We can hide them until then. Once they are out of their shell I can leave them in the wood-

Morgana: Oh, no. You're not abandoning those merlins! You killed their parents so now you are going to take responsibility!

Morgana: Responsability I said! Now if you excuse me, I'm going to make five more neckerchiefs (she leaves)

I have the headcannon that Wilde and Carter actually know way more about ships than they show and are fully making egregious mistakes for the sake of annoying Zolf and Barnes:

What are the batfamily's thoughts on Taylor Swift?

I think Bruce would dislike her the most but not because he thinks she's bad, but because his kids listen to her so much and people *cough* Dick *cough* talk about her incessantly that it's become annoying and if he hears Dick scream "Hey, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22!" at the top of his lungs one more time he's going to lash out.

Damian probably pretends he doesn't like her. I don't think he listens to Taylor, but after Dick forced him to listen to every single song on the Folklore album he's gained some respect for her writing, that album is really relatable, many songs talk about mental health and some other stuff I think Damian would relate to.

Jason, on the other hand, is the secret swiftie. He tells eveyone his favorite band is some rock or heavy metal one like ACDC (which he does like) but meanwhile he's listening to the Speak Now and Reputation albums on repeat.

Cass probably doesn't care about Taylor that much, but she laughs at Bruce's misery and listens to her songs if it means she can spend more time with her siblings and has something to talk about with them.

I think Tim has some very crazy musical taste. I can imagine him having zero playlists, he just hits shuffle on his library and goes for it. So he likes Taylor's songs, but probably wouldn't be able to name her. He's like "oh yeah I like that song, I have it saved on by library but I have no idea of who the singer/band of this one is".

Babs likes Taylor and she has no shame on admitting that. Dick is the one who turned her, obviously. I think she would sit on an armchair, curled up with a book and listen to Evermore as she reads.

Stephanie doesn't think Taylor is bad, but she probably doesn't like her as much as some of the other members of family do. Maybe she has like, five Taylor songs in her library that she (secretly, she didn't want him to know and freak out) saw Jason listen to that she couldn't deny were good, but she doesn't activelly listens to Taylor.

Alfred, well, he isn't a pop guy, but he obviously knows eveything that there is to know about Taylor because Dick is a millenial and he would spend hours talking about Taylor to Aflie when Bruce got tired of him.

He got curious one day and listened to some of her songs. They weren't his taste but he gets why Dick likes her.

I don't know much about Duke's personality to know for sure but I think he likes her, he probably has a pop playlist on his phone and Taylor is there along with other artists he likes. He’s a casual fan, doesn't know anything about her life but enjoys some of her music.

And finally the ultimate #1 Swiftie, Dick Grayson. He's obsessed with Taylor and has been listening her music since the vey beggining. Knows every song and the meaning behind them, knows everything about Taylor life and the drama stories and calls Taylor and Travis his parents, which makes Bruce extremelly ofended.

He bugs his entire family about the latest Taylor nation news, tells jokes like "I'm in my junk food era" and "you never get out of style, baby", tries to insert Taylor references in every conversations, would absolutely be that friend who would tell you to name your baby Rebekah or Marjorie and broke a coffee mug when he found out Jason liked Taylor, hugging him excitedly.

Well, well, have I enjoyed writing this? I have enjoyed it, I am a lover of mythology,bI know Greek mythology the most, but I would love to learn more about other mythologies. Michael planned everything. The birds always sing too early. A consistent warm weather that is too dry. Clothes without any tags but that still itch somehow. Mosquitoes. Forced monogamy. Frozen yogurt.

Michael really did planned. Eleanor ignoring Chidi's feelings, so scared of physical torture. Chidi overthinking about his own happiness, then about his disguised selfishness. Tahani feeling so lonely, unable to understand why she's never enough. Jason being... Jason. And you.

Without you, things would quickly collapse. A friendly shoulder for when Chidi's is to anxious, but still somehow making him feel worse for lying. You could shut Eleanor's fight or flight response, while still being a reason for her to behave that way. A company for Tahani, but that because of her need to be perfect ends up being one more reason to pretend. One more person for Jason to be scared of.

You were someone who believe to deserves to be on the Good Place. Someone who can torture yourself without noticing. Someone nice enough for no one to think that something is off with this place, but that still makes the four other humans feel bad about themselfs. You were the checks and balances.

But quickly Michael found out that giving you a absent soulmate was a big mistake. Because that absence, that guilt for not being happy, made you search for other people. And thinking that it would be a easy way to torture you, Michael spent time with you.

And that made Michael realize that it was actually quite nice to be with you. To talk to you. To listen to you. That made him think that if everything was different, if the stars had allign, maybe you both could've be friends. Real friends.

"I get it, he likes to work out," you confessed. Sitting across from Michael, the organized office was out of tune with your panic. "But he needs to do it all the time? I don't think he'd ever spent more than ten minutes talking to me."

Michael should've feel proud. He should've feel relieved that his project worked. But why did Michael feel bad to see you fighting your own sorrow? He should've been happier than ever.

"You'll have a infinite amount of time to spent with your soulmate," Michael were really trying to help you. He don't understand why, but he would feel bad if you started crying. "It can take eons for you both to behave like how you think that a couple should. I guarantee you that our sistem did the right thing."

"I know," you felt ashamed to imply that Michael haven't work hard on your neighborhood. He's a god, or at least something similar to that. You don't want to ofend him. "But I feel so lonely."

"But you're always accompanied," said Michael. "I notice that you're approaching other neighbors."

"Not that kind of loneliness."

"There's more then one kind?" Michael reclined in the armchair. "I still don't really know how your emotions work. You guys are often happy when you should be sad and angry when you should be happy, and texting when you should be driving, which is not an emotion, I know, but it's insane. So, teach me, what kind of loneliness is that?"

You laughed, slightly embarrassed. "It's a... physical loneliness." Seeing the uncertainty on his face, you tried to ignore your feelings. "I'm talking about sex."

"Oh," Michael widened his eyes. "I can see why interacting with your neighbors wouldn't hep with that kind of... loneliness. Another thing that I don't understand. Kissing is gross. You just mash your food holes together. It's not for that."

"You never kissed before?" That silenced your problems. "Like never?"

Michael nodded. "Your humans rituals are weird."

"But you have a human body." You leaned forward. "Chidi's from Senegal, Tahani's from Pakistan, actually everyone here is from a differnt place. Different places with different cultures and different rituals."

"What do you mean with that?"

"I don't think that we kiss and fuck because we were taugh that it's how life is supossed to happen," you ran your fingers across his desk, playing with the wood. "We do that because we're curious about our own bodies. So what I mean to say is: have you never been curious about your body?"

Michael crossed his legs. "I... yes. Yes, I've been curious."

And the thing you said next was a summary for why you were chose to this project. You never hear you conscience. Don't matter how loud it screams at you: if you want to do something, you will. Yes, Michael isn't a god. But he still a being powerful enough so you should have a relationship based on respect. You know all those things. You just ignored that voice on your head.

"I can satisfy your curiosity," you stood up, resting your arms on his desk, and leaned in until your face was close to his. "You just have to kiss me."

If things were normal, Michael would've kicked you out of his office. You would've come home embarrassed, hoping that Michael would pretend that nothing happened. But things weren't normal. You're dead, Michael's not-a-god-but-not-so-different-then-one, and his office is private enough.

You told him what to do. And Michael obeyed.

It was a new feeling. Michael never did that before, never imagine that one day he would be kissing a human instead of torturing them. It was new, and scary, and wrong: it was great. It was really great. He didn't plan that, he shouldn't be doing that, but he couldn't stop himself.

You pulled away, forehead resting on his, and felt the warm breath against your face. "Satisfied?" you whispered. You didn't have to open your eyes to understand Michael's response. You felt him deny it, almost exasperated. You understood him. You felt the same.

You kissed him again, and again, and again. Your mouth against his, your hands gripping his hair, until the space between you both was torturous. Without even thinking, unable to reason, Michael just knew he needed you closer.

You grabbed Michael by the tie, lifting him out of the chair, and pulled him towards you. Without ceasing to kiss you, touch you, Michael did what you implicitly asked. Now sitting on the table, you tried to get rid of his suit.

"What..." Michael shut up when he felt your lips on his neck, carressing and biting his skin. "Your soulmate..."

"He can get fucked," you murmured against his skin. If someone ever found out about what is happening, Michael could say he was tempting you. Seeing if you were selfish enough to cheat on your partner. If you were inconsequential enough to fuck someone that you clearly shouldn't. But the truth was the you were the one tempting him. "Sit down."

Michael obeyed you, sitting in the armchair that you occupied before. He watched you take off your pants, as desperate as he was, and climb into his lap. Your weight on him felt right. You kissed him again, guiding his hands down your body, almost begging him to squeeze your flesh.

"Touch me," but that wasn't you begging. That was you demanding.

And so he did. He grabbed you, feeling how delicate your body was in comparison to his, and kissed you again. It was so good, holding you while you kissed him was so good, that Michael almost didn't notice that you had opened his belt.

"Do you want this?" You got away from him, even tho you just wanted him closer and closer. "Do you want to continue?"

Michael kissed you. Ravenously. As if you were the first plate of food he've been served in ages. His hands touched your body, playing with your skin, glued you to him. And with Michael touching you, loving you, you fucked him.

Michael shivered under your touch, your kisses, your bites. He became a mess of groans and hands that didn't know where to touch. "Please," Michael found himself begging for the first time in his long live. He didn't even knew what he wanted.

Bouncing on his cock, you knew exactly what he meant to say. What Michael couldn't say.

And with Michael shuddering beneath you, unable to even open his eyes, there was a certainty in the air: this would not be the last time.

Can’t wait till pecco claims he was misquoted about the incident with alex

Anon you want me to get in troubles 😭😭😭😭 (I'm also a masochist because I'm answering and posting this).

I don't think he will claim to be misquoted this time, he will blame ir to the concussion and the aftermath of the crash. As someone said, (not tagging them because they are a Pecco fan and this will upset them), rider are send to the media just after a crash or a race, so the emotions are still raw. However I do know that last year in Catalunya, Pecco was excused from media duties and he still talked with them (his choice, and it was a Spanish journalist who said it). I also know that big names (Re: Pecco, Fabio and Marc at least) are allowed to cancel (and Fabio has already done) their media aparece when they want. So I think in this occasion, there are mechanism that would have allowed Pecco to not talk if he really wanted to avoid it. He didn't, he chose to go and say what he said.

So yes, in m y opinion, he choose to be there and say that and then he will brush it off like always. This is Pecco's MO. He throws the rock and hides the hand, however the damage is already done. He tried to do it with Marc after Portugal, and I think Franco also did it to Álex at the Italian GP (I remember 1 Academy rider saying Álex is a dirty rider who neraly murder/crashes into him and I'm pretty sure it was Franco). The VR46 are closing the lines and gunning at their enemies (re: Marquez)

Also for those who said it's all spur of the moment, it wasn't. Pecco himself said 'it's confirmed by the data', which meant he had time to look at Álex's and his data. He had time to sit and think about it, and he still choose to accuse another rider. I would have understood it if it was straight from the crash to the media pen. Reading and seeing certain criticisms made towards the Vivziepop characters and their representation of Asexuality/Aromanticy (completely true and justified) made me do some self-reflection and I wanted to know your opinion on the matter.

I have a character, Morgan Huved, who is a villain, Narcissist, an unstable person with many problems who would even become a cult leader/questionable father.

and although I never had a problem with him (he is one of the favorite ocs) I recently realized that he is a Straight/Demisexual, demisexual, part of the asexual spectrum.

I just imagined this because because of Morgan's past (being someone socially isolated by his parents, becoming a sociopath), he can't fall in love with a woman AT ALL if he doesn't know for sure that she's not going to abandon him, that she has the same ideas as him, which is at his "level".

Apart from this, Morgan DOES have the ability to have empathy, he is just very selective, he loved his parents very much to the point that he got considerably worse when they died, he loves his wife very much, and he loves his children in his own way (even if raises them both differently).

Even if Morgan was mentally stable and not self-centered, I CAN SEE HIM even being Demi. but I don't want to offend or just perpetuate more harmful stereotypes of this type of sexualities.

What do you think? Am I doing right or wrong? I am open to criticism in this regard.

leyendo y viendo ciertas criticas hechas hacia los personajes de Vivziepop y su representación de la Asexualidad(completamente cierto y justificado) me hizo hacer algo de autorefleccion y queria saber su opinion al respecto.

simplemente me imagine esto porque por el pasado de Morgan (siendo alguien aislado socialmente por sus padres, convertirse en un sociopata), el no puede enamorarse de una mujer EN ABSOLUTO si no sabe con certeza que no lo va abandonar, que tiene sus mismas ideas, que esta a su "nivel".

aparte de esto, Morgan SI TIENE la capacidad de tener empatia, solo que es muy selectiva, amaba mucho a sus padres al punto de que empeoro considerablemente cuando murieron, ama mucho a su esposa, y ama a su manera a sus hijos(aun si los cría a ambos de forma diferente).

aun si Morgan fuera mentalmente estable y no egocentrico, PUEDO VERLO aun siendo Demi. pero no quiero ofender o justamente perpetuar mas esteriotipos dañinos de este tipo de sexualidades.

¿que opinan?¿hago bien o mal? estoy abierta a la critica en este aspecto.

Honestly, the fact that people to get so offended over the idea of Chloe and Lila being worse than Gabriel. Kind of makes me roll my eyes ar people screeching about the misogny of two teenage girls being called evil.

Both Chloe and Lila have both have been shown to knowingly willingly try to take advantage of the fact that Gabriel is an abuser to use for their benefits…

The reason I honestly agree with the assessment that they are both worse than Gabriel comes down to one simple thing. If you took away the miraculous from Gabriel, he probably wouldn’t have the guts to do literally any of the stuff that he does. All his confidence and all his power to do what he does come from the fact that he has that magical brooch.

Chloe and Lila have both been shown to not need a miraculous to want to do evil things to people. It is it so shocking to people the idea that teenage girls can be pretty awful coming from a girl who was frequently bullied by other teenage girls yeah teens can be awful to each other.

Portraying something in fiction doesn’t equate to condoning/normalizing behavior.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts :) Even if I'm a girl myself I was a little bothered that fans felt so ofended over the idea that Lila and Chloé could be worse than Gabriel. But for me it was kinda logic that they would be worse than him, because they are supposed to be the next Big baddies once Monarch is out of the picture. And Ladybug and Chat Noir became strong enough that the ml writters will have to put them against crazier villains in order to rise up the stakes

I had never thought of the kind of person Gabriel would be without the butterfly miraculous, but I think we had a glimpse of it in the episode Queen Wasp where he was ready to stop everything for Adrien's sake (and he even complimented Marinette, while in this season 5 she seems to be the second person he despises the most after Ladybug T_T). It is also the period when Gabriel had not yet developed the habit of controlling Adrien with his amok. Gabriel had not been totally corrupted by power yet in this episode, while for season 5 there is no doubt that he has descended into madness and took a liking to evil, but it was a slow descent into hell, he got worse every season, and his abusive, toxic and obsessive behavior also escalated.

Chloé and Lila on the other hand ... They're different. Of course there was a period when Chloé softened between season 2 and season 3, but the Derision episode will show us how bad she really was, and unfortunatelly became once again. This episode will also reveal how much Chloé has a very twisted and wicked view of how the world works.

And Lila is no better, if not worse. I still get goosebumps thinking back to this scene when she's cutting Marinette's face from a bunch of photos she took from a distance either by herself or by paying somoene to do it, declaring loud and clear "soon you'll have no one and nothing left Marinette". My only though after this scene was : PSYCHOPATH !

And I don't know if you've read the bible, but (SPOILER WARNING FOR THIS PARAGRAPH !) the fact that Lila can go as far as managing 3 false identities at the same time just to get attention and popularity is kinda messed up. Also her intelligence level must be as good as Felix's if she can pull something like that so easilly (also it probably helps her that most ml character are guillible dummies ^^')

And let's not forget that Chloé and Lila willingly got themselves akumatized at one point just because they were offended. They are willing to wreck havoc for the most pettiest reasons of all.

And also, while during season 5 Gabriel is mostly motivated by his madness and hunger for power and control, his original purpose was still intriguing and understandable, to bring a loved one back to life.

Lila and Chloé on the other hands, what do they want, what are their motivations ? Simple : destroying the life of another teenager girl who barely did anything to them. They are only motivated by petty jealousy and the desire to hurt.

Because yeah Chloé always enjoyed hurting Marinette more than anyone else even before she became jealous of her, and Lila seems to have developped an hate-obsession toward Marinette even more intense than the hate she feels for Ladybug, and for what ? Just because Marinette called Lila out for her lies twice or thrice and is currently Adrien's girlfriend ? The boy both Lila and Chloé covet llike he's a thing to possess ?

When there is no rationality behind someone's motives, only madness remains. And crazy antagonists who take pleasure in making others miserable can sometimes be even more terrifying than rich powerfull business man obsessed with power.

There's no denying anymore that both Lila and Chloé are not only bad persons, but also a little deranged in their head. So what happens when you give wicked teenagers more power than they already have ? They become worse, because if they can get away with hurting even more people because that's something they enjoy, what's really stopping them ?

What the fans seem to ignore is that even at 14 years old, people can be pretty messed up in real life. It's much rarer than adults doing evil around them that's for sure, but it happens. I even remember a real case where two young girls below 12 years old murdered a 2 years old kid and an old lady just "for fun". And there's many others example with boys, some can even start committing rape when they're just 14. So why is it that hard to beleive that 14 years old girls have the potential to be more evil than an adult man when they grow up ?

Also can we really talk about misoginy when the main hero character who must face those two crazy girls is also a girl herself ? And when said girl is the protagnoist while her boy partner is the deuteragonist ?

Miraculous Ladybug seems to focus much more on the performances of its female characters like Kagami, Alya, Alix and Zoé for example. And then the star characters of the New York and Shanghai specials were also female. The series has probably chosen two female characters as the future antagonists who will be "worse" than the previous one, because they are characters that we have known since season 1 as rivals of the heroine, and who also evolved alongside the season, but towards the path of evil. After all, when the good becomes better, the bad must become worse.

But I think the detail that might show that fans are wrong to howl mysoginia is that somehow, Gabriel is the one who gave Chloe and Lila opportunities to become even worse. His akumatizations and plans involving Chloe and Lila can be seen as a way of corrupting the two young girls, their viciousness is something Gabriel has always indirectly encouraged for his plans. So is it so surprising then that the student would manage to surpass the master ?

For those who have read the bible, I seem to remember that the synopsis of an episode mentioned Chloe and Lila as "the best minions and allies of Monarch" So if Chloé and Lila became worse than Gabriel, it's because Gabriel himself influenced them.

I just discovered somenthing very VERY VERY UNDERRATED about art bassed on already existing characters from a franchise (fan proyects). But underrated on a unsuspected level

ALL THE WORK IS DONE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR MAKE A FANART OR SOMENTHING ALREADY HAS A FUNCIONAL REFERENCE THAT YOU CAN PERFECTLY USE. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IS TO INVESTIGATE A CHARACTER FOR MAKE ALL OF THIS REFERENCES AAAAAAHHH!!

For make your own content, your own WORKING FRANCHISE you would have to start FROM CERO. You can perfecly take 30 years for make somenthing profesional enought by your own or somenthing that works!! (30 years including ALL the art learnings you have to use. Psicology included)

We don't appreciate enough that there are sagas that give fans so much freedom to do whatever they want with their copyrighted work, because they can perfectly take down all the fan works at any time for legal reasons, but they choose to not.

(also, important note, don´t interpret this as if I´m defending abuse, empresaurs or companies buying others and then closing them or something like that. This post is not about defending the multimillonare company, is about you to apreciate what you have on a very underrated media as is the art. A kind of "inspiration" for you to not be lazy when the only thing you have to do for make a fan proyect is to take references and adapt it to your style, only the 10% of the work comparing it on making somenthing original. Chapter 2 : A New Street Breed Member

The 32 drivers are reunited with their teams around Tezla's HQ, Kurt Wylde's team has 2 drivers left and he was waiting for Dan Dresden to arrive, not knowing that someone very familiar would try to convince him to enter the team, he trusted Dan Dresden to choose one of the best drivers to be on the team while Kurt will choose the last driver on his own.

Lani, the female member of the Wave Rippers team was making adjustments on her car until she saw Vert talking with Alec Wood, the woman smiled and walked towards them.

"I suppose this is one of our new recruits", Lani said while crossing her arms

"Lani Tam, meet Alec Wood", said Vert introducing his friend to his teammate

"wheels or waves. I'm the best", said Alec Wood

"The humble type, huh? I know this is basic math, Vert, but still, we have one driver short" Lani made a gesture with her hand pointing one finger.

"hey I just did 16, okay? Half of the guys I know cannot even drive", Vert complained

The trio heard a car sound and it was Kurt's Slingshot making some drifts, but that's not him driving. Everyone noticed that Kurt was not in his car, making him mad.

"Who's driving my car?!", Kurt yelled while asking

"Whoever it is, they should having fun," said Banjee making fun of Kurt

Kurt walked towards it until his car stopped right in front of him, the car's hood started to open to reveal the driver.

"GET OUT OF MY CAR. NOW!", commanded Kurt

What Kurt didn't expect was that his young brother, Mark Wylde, was driving his Slingshot.

[timeskip, because everyone knows the scene]

Kurt refused Mark to be part of his team and saw Dan Dresden's car arriving at the place, he leaned on Slingshot while observing his teammate getting out of his car. Dan Dresden went to the passenger's side, opened the door, and extended his hand to someone like a gentleman to a lady. A girl took his hand and stepped out of Side Draft, revealing that it was Mari, already wearing a Street Breed driving suit.

"Kurt, I think you might know Luan's young sister. This is Maria, she will be one of our new drivers on the Street Breed team"

"Maria who?", asked Kurt not sounding very interested

"Maria da Silva Mendes, sir- I mean, leader- I mean-- ugh", said Mari nervously stuttering

Kurt's look didn't change from his serious face, he blinked twice and stared at Dan Dresden

"Are you sure that you chose the right person?", asked Kurt ofending Mari.

"excuse me?" Dan Dresden asked feeling confused, "I'm very sure that Mari is a very good driver".

"yeah, before an accident happen", Kurt's comment made Dan cringe for Mari, "so Mari, why did you come here anyway? Do you have any experience for racing?".

"well umm... ever since I was thirteen and my brother started racing for the first time in his career, I've noticed that-- It's hard to say, but seeing my big brother happy while racing made me feel happy for him and I wanted to know the experience of racing and why this makes him feel so blissful, so after I took my license last year, I never felt the same experience as he felt. It's my dream, I know it sounds ridiculous-", Mari spoke nervously trying not to sound very shy and also very childish in front of Kurt Wylde, but she was interrupted by him.

"stop stop stop, this is already ridiculous. Look kid, I'm going to tell and show you some reality, dreaming isn't sufficient and this ain't a movie where 'everything can happen if you believe' Also how can I trust you to be part of my team if you don't have any experience for driving? And you might break more than a leg".

She felt her heartbeat get faster of anxiousness, but she thought to herself to calm down and take a deep breath, when Mari was about to say something, Dan already intruded.

"Kurt, I understand you being skeptical, but why don't you give Mari a chance? She might be better than her brother. Or even better than you", Dan smirked when he said 'better than you', because he knows that Kurt likes to be the best and wants to be the greatest driver than everyone else.

The Street Breed leader felt a little bit of anger growing and burning his head, he felt that it was like a challenge. He started to think, she would be a great placement instead of his little brother because he never wanted Markie to participate in the World Race for loads of reasons, but the principal reasons are his reputation after the Grand Prix competition and also his other side...

A 'Tsk' could be heard from Kurt and he frowned, It looked like the competition was won once again, "All right, you win. But I have some rules, the Street Breed are born to lead and to win, so we never make friendships with the other teams. We never help them in a race. Did I make myself clear?"

Mari smiled and then made a serious face, she nodded at what Kurt had said. He guided her to a car with purple and green paintings, it had green windows and the front view looked beautiful.

“It’s so pretty” Mari was stunned by the car’ design

“This is a Mercy Breaker, more likely, Mercy Breaker 2.0, Dr. Tezla has said it has the same design as the original Mercy Breaker, but with some adjustments, like the engine exhaust sound, and instead of a V8, it's a V10,” Kurt informed

Mari pressed the car’s door button and it opened vertically like a Mercedes-Benz McLaren. The car’s inside is almost the same as the Street Breed cars, the map, the buttons including the nitrox, and a helmet.

She grabbed the helmet and looked determinedly at Kurt meaning that she was ready for the first challenging race of her life.

A question I wanted to ask about Cutter for a while (but always forget like urgh) what is her opinion on the rest of the Legion?

Ohhh

Althought I don't really have a personality well developed for Cutter... I can take it as a chance to develop it!

Lets see...

Hmmm from the two drawings I've made of her I could give her a bit of a laid back personality, curious and definetly with some battle prowess that comes from both her parents.

With this in mind, I can kind of settle what she thinks of the rest of the Legion. Gonna mention it now, I guess she would refer to the others as her uncles and aunts.

Stapler/Fastener/Seele is the asiest one, although a dog, Cutter mostly refers to Seele as "aunt". She gets along the best with it, but then again everyone in the Legion loves Seele a lot. Stapler is one protective stapler, if it spots Cutter naping close by it will not hesitate to go by her side and lay down, keeping an eye on any dangers that could be near. Not that it needs to worry to much, Cutter knows how to defend herself. Cutter is perticulary fond of laying down on top of Seele's back with her head on its fur.

Hole Punch/Devil/Diell would be next, since apart from eachother Cutter's parents get along the best with him. She has tried following her uncle's flow while dancing before, and has always been bested. This has kind of developed a competitive spirit in her against Diell, not like she's the best at dancing but still. It's fun to accompany her uncle in his visits to the Scorching Sandpaper Desert. From Devil's side... that's his little niece and he is the one uncle that spoils her, even more than Rubber Band.

Speaking of, Cutter thinks her aunt Rubber Band/Entertainer/Rene is funny. Rene's theatrics make the young girl laugh more often than not, finding them unnecesary but hilarious. Rubber Band was once ofended of the girl's laughter, but they have learned to take it in stride and revel in it. That laughter is, in a way, a reaction to Rene's great acting, a sign that she is taking a right direction and getting attention.

Last but not least, Colored Pencils/Maestro/Jean is someone nice to just spend time with. Whatever Cutter wants to nap, Seele is not around and there's too much noise around, she goes to her uncle's side. A little room filled with artworks on each wall and a man standing in the middle of it, in front of an empty canvas waiting to be filled with color. Maestro was afraid the first the girl would end up cutting some of his work the first time she went to nap at his little studio, but he has long since forgotten that fear. Sometimes they speak, and Maestro rambles on and on about how nowadays art is nothing compared to years ago, or how people don't seem to know how to appriciate art correctly, or his views of the world in general. Cutter listens, asks, and learns a bit. He is nice to be around.

As a few extras: Cutter shows respect towards the Craftman/Norami, Olly and Olivia. The Craftman is gentle with the way he treats his supplies and Cutter will be no exception, the guy has learned how to ask favors from the Legion. Cutter thinks he is just a little bread bun.

Olly had found it annoying when Scissors/Duelist/Yue and Tape/Sticker/Silva had first come at him begging (begging?) him to let them have a kid, with an orange cutter in their hands that the craftman had just bough and that they have found interesting. He doesn't really command Cutter around (He doesn't really command any of the Legion around, not normaly) but he knows he can count on her. He finds her reliable. She is a bit more distant than the rest of the legion towards Olly, but from what her parents have told her, she trusts him.

Olivia is happy to have her around. Happy of that and happy for Yue and Silva. She is the one to take her out of the house to Toad Town, and was also the one who decided to introduce Cutter to the Mario Bros. Olivia's energy and happy actitude can be a bit tiring for Cutter, but she finds her presence to be comforting, Olivia is a nice girl afterall.

I could go on for other characters, but I guess I'd like to be able to draw digitaly for that. Have this in the meantime!
